Stewardship at Trinity Cathedral

As Christians, we are called to be good stewards of the gifts that God has entrusted to our care. Part of this calling involves putting those gifts to work to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can do that through our stewardship and planned gifts to Trinity.

While stewardship does indeed involve giving away money, it is more than philanthropy. Just as Christians are called to worship in community, participate in Eucharist, serve the poor and needy in the wider world, and share the Gospel with others, we are called to be good stewards, to thank God by giving back a portion of what God has given to us. Time, talent and treasure are three ways we can display our gratitude.

Stewardship teaches that all that we have and all that we are is a gift from God. We are, therefore, stewards of God's gifts during our lifetime. Discerning and carrying out God's purpose is the primary purpose of our lives. The gifts we have been given, time, talent, and money, are to be used for that purpose. The primary role of the church is to guide individuals in discernment of the mission for their lives and use of their resources in accomplishing it.

Ways to be Grateful, Glad and Giving

At Trinity, there are many ways to be grateful for the many gifts we receive from God, glad for the many blessing in our lives and giving of our love, time and good fortune.

Community Outreach

More specifically we have three ingathering opportunities at Trinity. At the beginning of the year, we usually feature a Trinity Outreach campaign that benefits the local, global or church community in some way.

Trinity Welcome Campaign

In the summer we focus on capital improvements and create an offering that will benefit the cathedral such as renovating the kitchen or updating the bathrooms. This will help create a facility we can all be proud of.

Annual Stewardship Campaign

In the fall we host our annual stewardship campaign where we ask for pledges of financial support for the upcoming year.  This year our campaign will conclude on Sunday, November 7, with a call for pledges. The month of October will feature many ways to pledge support for Trinity Cathedral and ensure you are grateful, glad and giving.

We are pleased to feature a new tool for pledging your commitment to Trinity Cathedral. Simply click on the button at the bottom of this page and you will be directed to a secure online form where you can make a donation to the church using a credit card.

As you can see there are many ways to give to the church and through the church to help the church continue to service the needs of our community and create apostles in Christ.  If you would like to be involved in the Stewardship committee or give to the church in another way please contact Brian Bouchelle, Stewardship committee chair at 916-281-1599 or by email at bouchb91@gmail.com. You can also contact our church office for more details.
